Dining and Nightlife Reporter
Bahar Anooshahr is The Arizona Republic nightlife and dining reporter. She covers topics that range from restaurant histories to chef profiles, farmers markets to cocktail bars, but what she loves best is telling stories that highlight and celebrate the diversity of metro Phoenix. She's a member of Les Dames d'Escoffier, a nonprofit organization that supports women leaders in the hospitality, food and beverage industry. Prior to her role at The Arizona Republic, Bahar was a freelance writer whose work appeared in Eater.com, Phoenix New Times and an anthology. Before her life as a journalist, she was an oral and maxillofacial surgeon. Her favorite meal is dessert.
