Jim G. Reder departed to be with his savior, Jesus Christ, Wednesday, December 6, 2023.

Jim was born in Cabool, Missouri on April 5, 1935. He moved in early childhood (1944) to Phoenix, Arizona which he called home. He attended Murphy Elementary, Phoenix Union High School, and graduated from Arizona State College in 1957. Shortly thereafter, he entered the United States Air Force. After serving 22 years as an officer, he retired in the Pentagon (1979). He then worked the private sector until moving to Mt. Pleasant in 1999. Mr. Reder was a member and a Deacon of First Baptist Church of Mt. Pleasant, where he devoted much of his time serving the Lord. An ardent golf lover, where he spent time with his wife Glenda and his Christian friends.

He was preceded in death by his son Bryan Troy Reder, and by his wife, Glenda Reder.

His funeral service will be held, Saturday, December 9, 2023 in the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Mt. Pleasant Chapel, 1494 Mathis Ferry Rd at 11:00 am, followed by interment with military honors at Mt. Pleasant Memorial Gardens, 1308 Mathis Ferry Rd. Friends will be received an hour before the service at the chapel.
